Why this merger?
Asahi Kasei Bioprocess was formed out of a deep commitment to better serve the biopharmaceutical industry.
There have always been many synergies between the two companies. Over the years, TechniKrom has worked closely with Asahi Kasei Medical on the design and supply of equipment for use with Planova™ virus removal filters. There is also broad customer overlap between the two companies. This integration will allow us to provide greater efficiencies as well as expanded technical and scientific support for our customers.

What is the Asahi Gold Particle Test System (AGPTS)?
The AGPTS is a validated, automated system that executes the post-use gold particle integrity testing of the Planova filter. This unit is currently available in both single-filter and multi-filter configurations. Please contact us for more information.
Does Asahi Kasei Bioprocess still offer products and services to support peptide and oligonucleotide manufacturing?
Yes. Please contact us for more information about our mid-scale to large-scale synthesizers and synthesis columns, prep HPLC systems, and larg-scale HPLC columns and skids.

What services are available at this location?
All equipment design, assembly, commissioning, qualification, and FATs will occur at this site. In addition, a new Science & Technology group has been formed which will operate two laboratories in Glenview for purification and filtration R&D and technical service. Finally, equipment demonstrations and purification/filtration training programs will be available at the Glenview site.
Is the Planova stock point being moved to the Glenview site?
No, the stock point will remain at JFK in New York.
